Dr. Jung Ho Park, of Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine, has been honored with the Excellence in Scholarship Award by the official E-Journal of the 2025 GHRN Conference, Healthcare Research and Practice (HRP).
This prestigious award is presented to a select group of outstanding papers published in HRP following the 2025 GHRM Annual Conference. Award recipients are chosen through a rigorous evaluation process conducted by the HRP Editorial Board and Scientific Committee, based on academic rigor, originality, and clinical impact.
Dr. Park received this honor for his review article published in Healthcare Research and Practice, Vol. 1, No. 2 (2025), entitled “Emerging Vascular-Targeted Strategies for Gastric Cancer: A Novel Local Delivery Approach.”
The awarded study provides a comprehensive and systematic review of vascular-targeted therapeutic strategies for gastric cancer, with particular emphasis on locoregional and intratumoral delivery approaches. The paper critically examines the biological limitations of systemic anti-angiogenic therapies and highlights emerging interventional platforms designed to enhance intratumoral drug exposure while minimizing systemic toxicity.
By integrating advances in tumor vascular biology, interventional oncology, and drug-delivery science, the study offers a forward-looking therapeutic framework for the management of advanced gastric cancer.
