Special Issue Call for Papers-II

Translational Disease Mechanisms:

From Vascular Injury to Metabolic and Tumor Microenvironments

Prof. Sang Hyun Ahn

Overview

The interplay between vascular dysfunction, metabolic dysregulation, and tumor microenvironmental remodeling represents a unifying framework underlying many major human diseases. From acute coronary syndromes and cardiometabolic disorders to cancer progression driven by stromal–vascular crosstalk, shared biological pathways govern inflammation, endothelial injury, fibrosis, angiogenesis, and cellular stress responses.

This Special Issue of Health Research and Practice (HRP) aims to present an integrated perspective on translational disease mechanisms, highlighting how vascular biology, metabolic disorders, and tumor-associated stromal dynamics converge to influence disease progression and therapeutic outcomes. We welcome contributions that bridge basic mechanisms with preclinical or clinical applications, leveraging emerging technologies such as organoids, AI-driven analytics, and localized or targeted therapeutic strategies.
